Common questions
Is the price really flat up to 50 users?
Yes. One subscription covers every user in your tenant up to 50, no per-seat counting, no surprises at renewal.
What happens after the trial?
Archiving is paused — you can choose to continue with a subscription, or simply uninstall MailConnect.
Where is our data stored?
Entirely inside your own Microsoft 365 tenant. MailConnect never copies emails or documents to an external server.
How is it deployed?
Centrally, by your admin, through Microsoft 365, no per-user installation.
What if we’re using New Outlook?
MailConnect is built for New Outlook, and works whether you’re on Windows, Mac, web, or mobile.
*Certain features like drag & drop archiving to SharePoint require New Outlook, but in classic Outlook you can still archive by clicking “Archive to SharePoint”.
What kind of data does MailConnect collect?
MailConnect does not collect any personal data. We do however collect anonymous usage data to help us improve the product. This data is not linked to any individual, and will never include any email content, document content, or metadata from your tenant.
Examples of the usage data we collect include:
- Which features are used most often
- How many emails/documents are archived
- Performance metrics (e.g. time taken to archive)
- Number of users actively using MailConnect
- General error rates (but no details of the errors themselves)
- Tenant-level metadata such as tenant size and region (but no identifiable information about the tenant)
