# Data residency

> What stays in your Microsoft 365 tenant, and exactly what Pinksky receives and stores: install details, licence count, usage events and your MailConnect setup.

## Your content stays in your tenant

Your emails, attachments and documents stay in your own Microsoft 365 tenant,
in whichever region your tenant is hosted. MailConnect moves them between Outlook
and SharePoint as the signed-in user (see [Permissions](https://getmailconnect.com/docs/security/permissions.md)), and
never copies them to servers of ours.

Each user's MailConnect settings are stored in a dedicated app folder in that
user's own OneDrive, together with their suggestions: where they archived emails
from each sender.

## What Pinksky receives

Pinksky ApS receives and stores the following:

| What | Details | Stored in |
|------|---------|-----------|
| Your install details | Name, company, email and optional phone from the [install](https://getmailconnect.com/docs/getting-started/installation.md#1-your-details). Kept for 2 years. See the [Privacy Policy](https://getmailconnect.com/legal/privacy/). | Our CRM (Microsoft Dataverse) |
| Licensed user count | The total number of licensed Microsoft 365 users in your tenant, from the licence checker. | Microsoft Azure, Sweden Central |
| Usage events from the add-in | Your tenant ID and what was done, for example an email archived or a file attached, with the file type and size, the Outlook platform, and a normalised error type when something fails. Users are identified only by a one-way hash of their email address, never by name or address. | Microsoft Azure, Sweden Central |
| Your subscription | Your organisation's name and tenant ID, your partner, and your plan, status, trial end or renewal dates, and licensed seats. | Microsoft Azure, Sweden Central |
| Your MailConnect settings | Your tabs, including any custom endpoint addresses, which can carry the endpoint's own key; the Outlook category names and colours; the Fill SharePoint columns setup (content type IDs and column names); your default language; which features are switched on; and any text overrides. | Microsoft Azure, Sweden Central |
| Admin Center access | For each person given access to the [Admin Center](https://getmailconnect.com/docs/getting-started/admin-center.md): their sign-in address, display name, tenant ID and Entra user ID, their role, and who added them and when. And a log of changes: who changed your people, settings and features, and when. | Microsoft Azure, Sweden Central |

Usage events never include email or document content.

Your settings are what MailConnect needs to run for your organisation: the add-in
reads them each time it opens. Your Admins see and change them on the Admin
Center's [Settings](https://getmailconnect.com/docs/admin-center/settings.md) tab, apart from text overrides,
which Pinksky sets on request. Custom endpoint addresses
are shown in full only to Pinksky and your partner's Owners and Managers, who set
those endpoints up.

What the Admin Center reads in your tenant when someone signs in to it stays in
that person's browser: see
[What the Admin Center can do in your tenant](https://getmailconnect.com/docs/security/admin-center-in-your-tenant.md).
